Chris Daughtry apologizes for D-Day remark on 'Fox & Friends'

Chris Daughtry is apologizing for a comment he made on a recent visit to "Fox & Friends." 

The "American Idol" alum was invited to perform on Friday -- the day marking the anniversary of historic World War Two battle D-Day.  When asked by the morning show's hosts to lead them in a song to honor the troops, Chris backed away saying "I'm off the clock" and "This is where I bail." 

The next day, Chris posted an apology to his YouTube page.  He's taking the blame for his "terrible judgement" and "poor choice of words," and says he's "embarrassed" and "ashamed" for having disrespected the troops.  Chris adds that he regrets the incident "very deeply," and is asking for forgiveness from anyone he offended.
