Metallica releases recordings from Antarctica show

Listen to Metallica on iHeartRadio

Metallica's record-setting "Freeze 'Em All" show in Antarctica is now available for fans to enjoy without having to bundle up.

The metal vets have released a live MP3 version of the concert, which took place earlier this month on the Carlini Argentine Base in the Antarctic South Shetland Islands.

The gig made Metallica the first band to play all seven continents in less than a year.  But the only people who got to see history being made live were the winners from a Coca-Cola Zero contest in South America, as well a few research scientists stationed at the base and the ship crew that brought everyone there.

Still, the band says the energy in the small dome they were playing in was amazing, and they called it one of the most unique shows they've ever done.  The "Freeze 'Em All" MP3s are available to download now at LiveMetallica.com
