Thirty Seconds to Mars have become known for elaborate music videos, but their latest release keeps things simple.
The band has unveiled a clip for their single "City of Angels," which features nothing but a silhouetted Jared Leto singing against a backdrop of a Los Angeles sunset as the song's lyrics flash across the screen.
But the lyric video is only intended to be a precursor to the official "City of Angels" video. And Leto - who is set to return to the director's chair for the project - promises a short film in the vein the band's award-winning "Up in the Air." The video for the lead single from their album Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams earned a trophy for Best Rock Video at this past Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.
There's no word as to when the follow-up video will premiere, but in the meantime, fans can look forward to the band's upcoming tour. The trek starts September 27th in Atlanta.
