The guys in Coldplay have made the cut on "Forbes'" list of the world's most powerful musicians. The British rockers came in at number nine on the 2013 edition of the financial magazine's tally, in large part because of their touring prowess during the 12-month period in question.
"Forbes" notes that Chris Martin and company out-earned U2 - a group they're often compared to - with a world tour that raked in more than $3 million per city before it wrapped with a New Year's Eve show in New York City.
Coldplay has been relatively quiet since then, but they're expected to start making some noise again soon. They're reportedly working on the follow-up to 2011's Mylo Xyloto, which will be their sixth studio album overall.
