New Orleans' St. Peter Street is up and running again after the Foo Fighters shut it down with a surprise live show.
The Times-Picayune says Dave Grohl and company entertained an entire city block Saturday night to close out a week of recording at Preservation Hall. The famed Preservation Hall Jazz Band opened the show, and welcomed Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Regine Chassagne for a cover of the local classic "Iko Iko."
The Foo Fighters launched into their 90-minute set next, and Grohl told the crowd that their week in New Orleans changed the band forever. The visit is part of Grohl's ongoing docuseries for HBO, which is expected to premiere later this year along with a new Foo Fighters album.
