iHeartRadio Exclusive: Getting to know Jake Bugg

Listen to Jake Bugg on iHeartRadio

English singer-songwriter Jake Bugg has already won over the U.K. with his self-titled debut album, and now he's making waves in the U.S. At just 19 years old, he got into music at a very young age, but his sound is way beyond his years with influences like rock n' roll greats, The Beatles.

Having recently played the world-famous Glastonbury Festival, along side rock legends like The Rolling Stones, he is the first artist that has moved from the BBC Introducing Stage to the Main Pyramid stage in successive years.

Learn more about Jake as he explains, exclusively to iHeartRadio, how he got his start:

You might recognize his song "Lightning Bolt," which was played at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and his performance on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. Or you might have seen him perform his tune "Two Fingers," on "Conan." Both songs are part of his highly praised album, released last October.

Jake gives a little insight on recording his debut masterpiece:

"Country Song" is also included in his self-titled record, and Jake explains the inspiration behind it. He says, "I had no income, no money, I didn't have a job, and I left school. It was raining outside, and I just wanted to write a song where [it's] a fantasy, and just place yourself somewhere else, and it's a way of escaping."

Check out what else he had to say about "Country Song" and what touring is like below:
